Classroom Attire

Tiny Tots
Creative dance and tumbling class for 3-year-olds (no tap). Students wear white leotards, pink tights and pink ballet shoes. Hair must be in a bun. Dancers will perform a tumbling routine in the recital.

Creative Movement
Combination pre-ballet and tap creative dance class for 4-year-olds. Students wear light pink leotards, pink tights and pink ballet shoes. Hair must be in a bun. Dancers will perform a ballet routine in the recital.

Kinderdance
Combination ballet and tap class for 5-year-olds entering Kindergarten. Students wear lavender leotards, pink tights, pink ballet shoes, and black patent leather tap shoes. Hair must be in a bun. Dancers will perform a tap routine in the recital.

Primary
Combination ballet, tap and jazz class for 6-year-olds and over. Dancers learn the fundamental elements of these core styles of dance. Students wear light blue leotards, pink tights and pink ballet shoes for ballet. Black patent leather or lace-up tap shoes for tap. Black slip-on jazz shoes, black jazz pants or dance shorts for jazz. Hair must be in a bun. Dancers will perform a ballet or tap routine and a jazz routine in the recital. Only one costume payment will need to be made for both routines, as a two-in-one costume will be ordered.

Young Mini Acro
Introductory acrobatic and tumbling class for Creative Movement and Kinderdance students. Students wear solid colored leotards, no tights, and no shoes. Hair must be secured away from the face.

Mini Acro
Introductory acrobatic and tumbling class for Primary students. Students wear solid colored leotards, no tights, and no shoes. Dance shorts or shortalls are optional. Hair must be secured away from the face.

Mini Hip Hop
Hip hop class for Primary students. Students wear loose fitting dance attire, or street clothes. Clean, light-soled tennis shoes are required for this class.

Ballet (Elementary - Adult)
A Cecchetti-based ballet technique class. Students are required to wear black leotards, pink tights, and pink ballet shoes. We recommend a canvas ballet shoe, and Capezio mock seam classical pink tights. Hair must be in a bun.

Pre-Pointe (Elementary & Intermediate)
An additional ballet technique class geared towards strengthening and conditioning the dancer in preparation for pointe work. Students are required to wear black leotards, pink tights, and pink ballet shoes. Hair must be in a bun.  No choreography will be prepared in this class for the spring recital.

Pointe (Upper Elementary - Advanced)
A ballet-based class executed in pointe shoes. Students must be at a certain technical level in order to be considered for this class. Students are required to wear black leotards, pink tights, and pointe shoes. Hair must be in a bun.

Tap (Elementary - Adult)
Students wear solid colored leotards, tan tights, black jazz pants/dance shorts, and black lace-up tap shoes. Students may not wear tank tops or t-shirts over their leotards. Hair must be secured away from the face.

Jazz (Elementary - Adult)
Students wear solid colored leotards, tan tights, black jazz pants/dance shorts, and black jazz shoes. Hair must be in a bun. Some jazz classes may require a ballet class to be enrolled.

Lyrical/Contemporary (Elementary - Adult)
Students wear solid colored leotards, tan tights, and black jazz pants/dance shorts. Footwear may consist of pedinis, foot thongs, or no shoes. Hair must be secured away from the face.

Modern (Intermediate - Adult)
Students wear solid colored leotards, tan tights, black jazz pants/dance shorts, and no shoes. Students may not wear tank tops or t-shirts over their leotards. Hair must be secured away from the face.

Hip Hop (Elementary - Advanced)
Students wear loose fitting dance attire, or street clothes. Clean, light-soled tennis shoes are required for this class.

Acro (Elementary - Advanced)
Students wear solid colored leotards, no tights, and no shoes. Dance shorts or shortalls are optional. Hair must be secured away from the face.

Musical Theatre (Elementary - Advanced)
Students study music and movement pertaining to Broadway musicals. Students wear the same attire as stated above for jazz class.

African (Elementary - Advanced)
Polyrhythmic movement and music come together in this unique Afro-fusion dance class exploring the benefits of integrated rhythm, breath and imagination. Students wear loose fitting dance attire, or street clothes and no shoes.

Cardio-Fusion
This is a high-energy fitness class with power-packed movement that fuses athletic dance steps with dynamic toning and stabilization. Two classes are offered per week for the price of one.

Adults
Separate classes are offered for tap and jazz. Students wear the same attire as stated above for tap and jazz class.

Boys (All ages)
For dance classes, other than Hip Hop, boys wear a white tank top or t-shirt and black dance pants. Appropriate shoes and a dance belt if needed.
