Barestage Rehearsals will be held at Jefferson Forest High School. Wednesday, May 16^th beginning at 4:00PM will be for Elementary, Intermediate, Advanced and Adult dancers.  Thursday, May 17^th beginning at 4:00PM will be for Tiny Tots, Creative Movement, Kinderdance, Primary, Mini Acro, Mini Hip Hop and Elementary dancers.  Dancers are to report to the Auditorium and sit with their class 15 minutes before their scheduled rehearsal time.  For Barestage Rehearsals dancers are to dress as they would to attend their regular dance class with the appropriate shoes, attire and hair.  Recital T-Shirts may be worn over dance attire.  Stage make up is not required for Barestage Rehearsal.

DRESS REHEARSAL                                                                                                                         

 Dress Rehearsal will also be held at Jefferson Forest High School, and is scheduled for Friday, May 18^th beginning at 4:00PM for all dancers.  Dancers are to report to their assigned dressing rooms.  For Dress Rehearsal and the Performances dancers are to follow their costume checklists for all their costume requirements including accessories and how to wear their hair and what shoes and tights are needed.  Stage make up is to be worn for Dress Rehearsal and all the Performances.

These contain important information dealing with upcoming recital season so please take the time to read them over and please take note to the deadline dates of the forms.

Due to the number of students and families we have performing we cannot guarantee that they will each perform all dances in the same show. Please note which show your child’s main performance is before your tickets are purchased.  Your main performance consists of your core classes (Ballet, Tap and Jazz).  Those classes should be in the same performance, however, because of the crossover of levels, your elective classes (Lyrical, Contemporary, Modern, Musical Theatre, Hip Hop, Acro and Pointe) may NOT be in the same show. 

In addition, some of your classes may have the opportunity to perform in more than one show. 

We want to congratulate all of the dancers who competed for a state title. Riley Thomas, Hunter Thomas, Landen Glass, Lexi Gossom, Kyla Hull, Lisa Ptakowski and Anna Ripley. You all did a fabulous job and represented FDA wonderfully!

We are very proud to announce that we have four new Virginia title winners:

Riley Thomas - Mini Miss Dance of Virginia
Hunter Thomas - Petite Miss Dance of Virginia
Landen Glass - Master Dance of Virginia
Kyla Hull - Teen Miss Dance of Virginia

Hunter, Landen and Kyla will be traveling to California this summer to compete in the Dance Masters of America National Solo Title Scholarship Competition. Congratulations on your accomplishment and best of luck in Anaheim!

This years recital and recital rehearsals will be held in the Jefferson Forest High School Auditorium on the following dates:

Wednesday, May 16th, 2012 - Barestage Rehearsal (Elementary through Advanced & Adult levels)

Thursday, May 17th, 2012 - Barestage Rehearsal (Tiny Tots through Elementary levels)

Friday, May 18th, 2012 - Dress Rehearsal (All dancers)

Saturday, May 19th, 2012 - “And The Winner Is…” Performances at 1:00PM & 7:00PM

Sunday, May 20th, 2012 - “And The Winner Is…” Performance at 3:00PM

A detailed rehearsal and performance schedule will be available at a later date.

Monday, October 31st - The studio will be closed for Halloween

November 21st - November 26th - The studio will be closed for Thanksgiving break

December 1st & 2nd - The studio will be closed due to The Grinch rehearsals at Jefferson Forest High School

December 22nd - January 7th - The studio will be closed for Winter break

April 9th - April 14th - The studio will be closed for Spring Break

Please check our website, facebook page, or call the studio for information regarding closings due to inclement weather. (Please remember we do not follow the school systems closing schedules)
