FREE CARDIO-FUSION CLASS
With summer right around the corner, we would like to invite you to attend the Monday 7:30-8:30 and Thursday 8:00-9:00 Cardio-Fusion class free of charge. Cardio-Fusion is type of exercise you’ll want to do everyday and feel good about doing it. One exhilarating hour of caloric-burning, toning and body-energizing fun!

COSTUMES
Costume installments were due October 1st, and November 1st with balances due December 1st. Costumes will be distributed March 15th – March 20th to those dancers whose costumes have been paid in full and accounts are current.
Dancers with account balances will not have a costume for picture day, however all dancers will be included in group photos. In the event a class costume does not arrive in time for pictures, alternate arrangements will be made.

RECITAL SHOES & TIGHTS
On our website you will find a complete list of the shoes and tights required for all classes for the recital. New shoes do not need to be purchased, but please make sure that your shoes are in good condition and without holes. New dance tights were included in your costumes payments and will be distributed with your costumes. New tights are to be worn for pictures and performances.

PICTURES
Saturday, March 27th Nichols photography will be coming to the studio to take photos of all classes for the recital program. Saturday classes will be cancelled for picture day. An extended make-up class schedule will be announced at a later date. Individual packages will be available to purchase for those interested, this is optional, however, we do encourage all dancers to participate in their class photo. Arrangements will be made for any classes whose costumes have not been received by picture day. A picture day schedule will be posted at the studio on the bulletin board and on the website. Order forms will be handed out during classes March 15th-March 20th. Photo orders will be handed out during classes the week of May 17th – May 22nd.

SPRING BREAK
Spring break will be April 5th-10th. The studio will be closed that week and classes will resume on Monday, April 12th.

SPLITTERS CLUB
Those dancers, who have achieved their splits, right, left, and/or center, will receive recognition in the recital program and a keepsake as a reward for their efforts. We will be searching for splitters club members in all classes April 26th-May 1st. To be a part of this club you must hold your split all the way down for one minute without the use of your hands. There will be four levels “righties” “lefties” “middles” and “all star splitters”.

BRING A FRIEND TO DANCE WEEK
During the week of May 3rd-8th we invite all of our dancers to share their dance experience and showoff their recital routines for one of their friends (no boyfriends please). Friends are encouraged to participate in the class, and loose clothing should be worn.

IN STUDIO DRESS REHEARSAL
There will be a pre-dress rehearsal at the studio during regular class times the week of May 10th-May 15th. Dancers will need to bring their costumes and accessories to classes that week. Parents are also invited to video their children practicing their routines at the end of class.

ATTENDANCE
As we approach our spring recital please be mindful of your commitment to good attendance in your dance classes. Please check with your school to make sure field trips don’t conflict with recital week as our dates are set and confirmed. Due to the inclement weather studio closings we encourage that you check your brochure or the bulletin board at the studio for make-up classes.

RECITAL DATES
This year’s recital, “Fame”, will be held at the Jefferson Forest High School Auditorium on Friday, May 28th at 7:00PM and Saturday, May 29th at 1:00PM and 7:00PM. Barestage rehearsal is on Tuesday, May 25th beginning at 4:00PM. Dress rehearsal is on Wednesday, May 26th beginning at 4:00PM.
PLEASE NOTE: A detailed schedule will be mailed to you and available online this spring. We need your current mailing address if any changes have been made since registration. Due to the number of students and families we have performing we cannot guarantee that they will each perform all dances in the same show. Please note which show your child’s main performance is before your tickets are purchased. The last day of classes will be Saturday, May 22nd.

VOLUNTEERS
This year we are asking for a parent volunteer, “dance mom”, to be responsible for each class. We are in need of many volunteers to help out in the dressing rooms. We cannot do this without your help! Please let us know when you will be willing to volunteer your time to be responsible for your dancer’s class until the end of the show. Please look for detailed information and a sign up sheet in the office for the list of positions to be filled.

VIDEOTAPING
The performances are being professionally recorded therefore there will be no personal recording devices permitted in the theatre. This includes barestage, dress rehearsal, and all performances. Parents are welcome to videotape at the end of class during in studio dress rehearsal week.
