Stage Make-up & Hair

We recommend the following:

  • Foundation - (the foundation should be applied all over the face and blended into the neck. the foundation should be one shade darker than skin tone, so that the dancer does not appear pale under the stage lights)

  • Powder - Loose Powder (the powder should applied all over the face and the neck, it should compliment the foundation color and is used to set the foundation as well as applied under the eyes to prevent the liner from running)

  • Blush - Pink tones for highlighting and Brown tones for contouring (the blush should be applied to the apples of the cheek for color)

  • Eye shadows - Mulitple shades of Browns (the brown eye shadow is applied to the eyelid and the white is applied under the eyebrow)

  • Mascara - Black or Brown (applied to the upper and lower eyelashes)
